Re: Roland Garros 2012

I don't think she must change her game, but playing more consistent and seems like the Yonex (she surely tried different rackets) gives her a good feeling. She isn't in that position to chose a racket first on financial aspects. She needs a racket to win matches with, more than last time.

Well, I hope, she will find the way back to her level with Yonex. Btw the players of WTA using Yonex have rather different game styles, as there are different rackets for everyone. Ivanovic hits pretty flat, Wozniacki not. But they use different Yonex rackets!

And finally I think, better to change the racket during an injury time out than never
Her bad results last time have nothing to do with Wilson or Yonex ...

So I guess Yonex just pays more than Wilson.

But true, weird move to do that mid-season while being out with an injury.

It depends on the racquet but I've used Yonex for a long time and the racquets definitely have their own feeling. I think they give you quite a lot of control.

noone knows, weird timing to change racket indeed, but who knows, maybe they dropped her or she really wanted a new Racket to improve her game.

And of course it could have been because of the Money, they play Tennis to earn as much of it as possible

Re: Roland Garros 2012

Can anyone tell me why Sabine changed her racket from Prince to Wilson and now to Yonex within a short time? As far as I know most players are very sensitive to changes with their equipment, especially with the racket, of course. I'm wondering if this change brings even more uncertainty to her game?

Done with Doping control and first fitness session. Breakfast time

Sabine Lisicki@sabinelisicki
Thanks a lot for your support out there on Monday. Loved it so much
and wish I could have done better! I didn't spend enough time on the
court lately because my focus is to get fitter. Can't do all at once.
I'm a fighter & want to be the best I can be!

Ah ok, even in the middle of the match, unusual or not...
Now I know why Razzano in the postmatch interview said she wanted to look for serena to comfort her...

Yes she cried a bit after losing the second set, because the Crowd was not very nice to her.

Re: Roland Garros 2012

Just read on twitter that serena cried during the match today? Is that right? It interests me because there are always these sabine haters blaming her for crying on court and everyones remembering the charleston incident...
Anybody knows what made serena crying?

Anyway I like players showing their emotions on court, thanx serena! I like her for her game and personality. And it makes me a bit sad she is out, too. Now there are still two more likely players in the draw who are able to win it, but I fear the worst happening, a shrieking final

@Michael!:

A topic about her bf has already been opened, don't feel the need to open another 1. And I care about her tennis and her private life, if you need to blame me for this do so. I am happy for her what depends on her private life, about her tennis atm not.

Re: Roland Garros 2012

@ laechler

open some thread about her bf if you feel the need to , this here is about her performance in Paris and her defeat obviously wasn´t influenced by Benjamin Starke at all.
No surprise that Sabine got more haters recently, some of her fans seem to care much more about her private life than about her tennis! Not really important for her fans if she has a bf or not, u can be happy for her, that´s it, but some seem to be sad or jealous that she has a bf now and that is just sick.

Starke was slightly injured recently and has to get fit again and prepare for the Olympic Games in London, so it is obvious that he can´t be in Paris right now and Sabine surely isn´t too sad about it as she knows it herself how it is to be a pro athlete!

stupid discussion anyway
back to tennis, good decision to work on her fitness obviously, most important thing anyway and Sabine is still young and her body was her biggest problem so far
She obviously is a great talent and she will have better results again but would be nice to see her having good and consistent results at some point but she only can reach that if she is able to stay healthy for once, good luck with that!!!

E Basta!

sorry for all non german speakers, but this is only an unimportant post, not dealed with Sabine Lisicki!
