Ysa 'blocked' her back yesterday in doubles. She's back to Belgium for threatment.

Very pretty picture!

I think she's a nice girl off court, but on court it's something else.
She's not making herself very popular at the moment

Her behaviour somehow reminds me a little of Yanina in her younger years

Re: Ysaline Bonaventure

I think if Ysaline re-reads her FB post in a year or two she will cringe. No need to bring the nationality of her opponent into it - completely unrelated.

Rules are rules... learn from it and move on! Some people are pretty harsh, she didn't kill anyone.
Next time answer with the racket (and the ball in the right direction ).

Instead, she's seeing herself as the victim of this situation because she's the one getting defaulted, but I wonder what the supervisor's decision would've been if Ysa had simply owed up to her actions.

I think Dominique should have a long talk with her.
Completely agree. And also Ann Devries in Fed Cup. I am sure ann would not want a repeat of this behaviour in the Belgian team.

Re: Ysaline Bonaventure

Not really accurate. If you watch the video Ysa was not running for a drop shot. She was already at the net and her opponent hit a passing shot passed her. Ysa then hit the ball against the back fence (this was not a shot as part of a point) and it hit the linesman. Of course Ysa would not have meant to hit her. However, she needs to control her behaviour. Rules are rules.

Ysa on her Facebook page:

"Probably something that has never happened to me before. I got defaulted after the second game, because I was running to a dropshot and I hit the ball wich landed on the line umpire's hand, by accident. She started to make a big show, while nothing really happend, so I got disqualified against an American obviously. This is so unfair."

Re: Ysaline Bonaventure

She hit a ball into the back fence but it hit the linesman. There is a video in GM. Whether I think the default as opposed to a warning, point penalty etc was over the top doesn't matter as I do think that this will be a good warning to Ysa that she has to control her emotions and temper on court.

Re: Ysaline Bonaventure

In Maui it says:
Ysalina Bonaventura - Jacqueline Cako 0-2 Defaulted

What did she do?

EDIT: In TT Maui they say she hit a linesman.
