Re: Caroline Garcia

Caro was bad at the beginning but Kiki was worse at the end OMG. She did not let Caroline play a lot at the end...

Re: Caroline Garcia

It fits the timeline. Like you say, maybe she knew someone that was killed or something?

It's possible. Just seems like there is something a little 'off' with her recently.

well now that you say that, this would make sense, yesterday in her double match she seemed pissed, not interested, then she saw how kristina was fighting and then she reacted

dont know what's wrong with her right now but she has to react and fast

well that's why it was not a bad idea cause she has to make her confidence back, since wimbledon she's 0-3 in winning ratio

so what now?she'll come to the olympics miraculously changed? tennis can be amazing sometimes but trust me she will need more than one week of training to come there and kick everybody ass

SHE'S NOT SERENA

watched her double match yesterday and they were going to lose, they were down 4-6 3-5 in this match they finally won 4-6 7-5 10-4

caroline was flat and not playing well, kristina had to cheer strong for her saying "yes super, good play caro", at the end she finally put more intensity, hitting big returns, stop making errors and they were back

Re: Caroline Garcia

Any reason as to why she has pulled out?

Not that i am going to complain too much, i mean she won't be tested there by many looking at the field.

Caro finally out of Florianopolis. Next is Rio, hope she will do great, really. She likes south america, so hope something will happen here.

Re: Caroline Garcia

Caro and Kiki at least won in doubles today (just).
I don't know much about Caro's coaching re: her dad, but when Aga left her father as coach her results really improved, while Wozniacki is still with her father as coach and she hasn't got better.
I don't know if her results would get better or worse with a new coach, but I just thought I would point out those two examples.

Re: Caroline Garcia

Unfortunately Caro is not a champion yet. She's still developing mentally and it might be a few years before she reaches that level.

It sounds like a poor excuse but these things do affect players. You even see great champions get affected by delays and other external factors. The rain delays came at bad times for Caro, and she had to go off court and it allowed Strycova to reset whilst Caro cooled down. Ideally Caro wouldn't be affected, but it stopped her momentum. It happens, even to the best at times.

But i agree with what the overarching point you both make. It is just at this particular time, i feel the rain played a part in why she lost.
