@Katja Clay is enough of a challenge as it is for Kris Plis (one career main-draw win). And so she draws one of the most in-form players.

Karo should teach Kris the ways of clay and Karo needs pointers for grass from Kris.

She really likes the schedule and the results are coming
Thanks for the info. She is playing great this week, especially breaking her opponents' serves at will. Serveborg is programmed for a successful title defense and cannot be denied.

Matches like this in which Karolina Pliskova looks like a world-beater show how much she's underperformed in Grand Slams.

Granted, it's only Voegele, but even her drop volleys worked well today and she really dominated the match with her serve and return.

Karo saves my day after a certain other blonde stank up a different joint.

Great win for Karo vs. Bacsinszky! She looked much more like herself and dealt well with Timea's variety. She shouldn't feel bad about the loss to Golubic, who obviously had a special weekend.

Re: Pliskova Twins Cheering Thread

Kris was up *3-0 in the final set against an absolutely awful Watson, and now her nerves have set in. She doesn't look like a professional tennis player right now. These last 2 games...jesus christ.

And now from 0-40 on Watson goes off the rails again. This match.

4-2*. That was, except for the very last point, all Watson. Kris is completely lost out there.

Watson holds to love as Kris does...something. Not sure what. *4-3.

UE, Service Winner, Service Winner, UE: 30-30.
Pheeeew. 2nd Serve, Watson tries to go big, hits the stands. GP Kris.
UE Watson, 5-3*. 4 points from home.

15-00 UE Kris
30-00 UE Kris
40-00 UE Kris
*5-4 2nd serve, Kris tries to hit a dropshot return, hits the net. This is the third return game in a row Kris lost by hitting a dropshit that didn't clear the net.

Well then, Kris serving for the match. First serves appreciated.

15-00 Return Error Watson
15-15 Winner Watson (almost made an epic error there, completely misjudged a smash)
30-15 Service Winner
40-15 Ace
40-30 UE Kris
GSM UE Watson (ugh, that was close and no hawkeye here)

Well, she won. But her nerves are...phew.

But atleast Kris is finally in the top 100 at 87 so she's finally done with being between 115-101. What's her next tournament btw?

Re: Pliskova Twins Cheering Thread

Kris lost 5-7 6-4 4-6 to Begu Another heartbreaking and plain sad loss She fought hard in sets 2 & 3, came back from 2-4* 0-30 down in the 3rd, just to kinda self destruct with 2 DFs when having to hold serve to remain alive at *4-5 against a dead tired Begu

This, plus Karo's dreadful loss to Scrubea, it's just too much for me
