Argh, why wasn't Mama Lisicki cooking for them? Hopefully she is well enough to endure the long travel and have a good tournament in Linz.

I suffer from Sabine withdrawal...

Hi everybody, I had very bad food poisoning from the lunch I ate right after my match... I am happy the worst is behind me but I´m very sad I wasn´t able to play any matches after that... I´m slowly getting better and will do all the best to recover quickly. I hope to be ok for Linz which is next week.

I cannot believe that Sabine would have deliberately eaten something not knowing what was in it, especially knowing how serious her gluten intolerence is. I can only think that her team would have told the Chinese authorities running the Open that she was gluten intolerent, & what she could & couldn't take. That leaves the Chinese caterers...
I know next to nothing, like all of us. It's so frustrating!

Re: 你好 Beijing

On Eurosport they just said it was her gluten allergy that caused all of this.

I think we've heard all the options now and still don't know anything.

This reminds me somehow of the Bildzeitung headline in August 1952,- "Eastern German soup cubes cause cancer" -, and the brainwash at that time.
Sorry, your reasoning here is deceptive and polemizing. It`s close to a no-go.

Get healthy soon, Sabine !

Bad Luck it's a shock what happened to Sabine.. or is it considering I often hear of the same thing happening to others there? Get well soon Sabine!
