We want what's best for her. We will love to be proven wrong...

My relevance without even posting here for months

Anyway, I agree with Kev and Morgan. It is ridiculous that this situation is just allowed to happen again and again. Anyone who actually cared about seeing her raw talent turn into something more would see that ITFs and slugging her way to the top is the best route. I didn't see the likes of Kasatkina get WCs vomited on her, nor see her quit and just turn up when it's convenient for easy money. I don't care how shade Territory throws or how vehemently he defends her, it is very obvious that this isn't good for her career, and really says poor things about her character. Hard to see her eventuating when this cycle just continues over and over again.

Definitely not getting worked up... and sure there could be things happening behind the scenes that we don't know about. Yes we want the best for her whatever that is as long as she is happy. BUT as a tennis fan it's frustrating. Anyway we shall see what happens.

Re: Ashleigh Barty

I think Kev is just voicing his frustration that she hasn't delivered on something she said she was going to do, in fact has done the complete opposite.

Of course that's her complete right to do so and go back on it if she pleases and for whatever reasons she may have, I think though, to get ultra defensive about the possible reasons for it etc is no different to analzying her choices/scheduling in the first place.

People see talent being 'wasted', they are frustrated, they post about their frustration, which they are free to do - just as Ashleigh is free to play as much or as little as she likes.

I don't think it's a personal attack on Ashleigh's psyche or anything like that

Bringing her right to determinism and autonomy etc in to it was a bit of a stretch.

Re: Ashleigh Barty

I said, "jeopardised" - past tense. You've misquoted me. Her depression a few years back is on record.

If something has caused depression in your life, I'd say you have to be pretty careful about how you manage that into the future.

The chingching quips are pretty cheeky. Sorry Kev. But I honestly don't know why you are so pressed about this.

I can totally take your criticism Kev. Not sure why you think I can't.

Also, have you considered that "succeeding" might = being happy, not how well you do at tennis? The fact is, her tennis career has already severely jeopardised her happiness so you can't dissociate the two so easily.

Also, see above re: chingching and Kool-aid.
Of course they were, but when she was succeeding you jumped straight on the bandwagon.

If having a tennis career "severely jeopardises" her happiness then maybe tennis isn't the sport for her and she should go back to cricket.

Also maybe it's because @chingching was right all along.
