Hopefully Bencic and Konjuh breaking this very long record means that Generation Suck has officially ended and there is a new generation on the horizon that will produce champions again (other than Azarenka).

sorry but that's just my opinion.

for me Belinda is extremely boring and does nothing special, Townsend on the other hand has variety and soft hands. Belinda can only dream of volleying like Taylor.

Townsend is unique amongst today's players and a breath of fresh air, very exciting player.

With two years to go until she can play WTA unrestricted, I get the feeling Bencic might join them.

What's the most (consecutive) Junior Slams that anyone has won? Maybe Julian. can make a thread on that, so we've got something else to cheer for

she doesn't have variety or athleticism or anything. just stays on the baseline and is very consistent. yawn.

hopefully Townsend and konjuh have better careers because they are more talented and exciting to watch IMO. konjuh would've won here if she wasn't injured probably.

What is more exciting is that Belinda successfully made the most difficult transition in tennis from RG to Wimbledon and won both of them. It's the toughest thing to do except for Grand Slam
