Re: Bojana Jovanovski...

Wish some Serbian papers did an interview with her, to give us an update on what is going on.

Re: Bojana Jovanovski...

Her comeback is not going as well as she expected, she's still in pain and cannot train full time. She misses tennis a lot and is desperate to play professionally again, but it's still very doubtful when/if she can return. At the very earliest there's some possibility she'll be ready for the summer HC season, but it's far from certain, unfortunately.

Re: Bojana Jovanovski...

I wonder whether she will play pro tennis again or not? She's only about 26. Her body was struggling and I'm sure she's enjoying wedded bliss, but hopefully she will decide to play again, or at the very least update us about her life. There have been no posts on her official facebook, twitter or instagram since about Nov 2016.

Re: Bojana Jovanovski...

Bojana is young enough for new beginning, if she really want that. Jovanovski talent is really never in doubt.

Re: Bojana Jovanovski...

She's getting married this weekend. And she's really skinny now, she doesn't look like a pro athlete at all. Apparently she hasn't started training yet.

I'm really afraid she's never going to come back.

Re: Bojana Jovanovski...

Bojana ended 2016 season.

She is going into surgery (shoulder and wrist of the right hand)

Predicted period of recovery and rehabilitation is 4-5 months, and Bojana expects to be back on tournaments in January 2017.

Re: Bojana Jovanovski...

From her interview in Serbian daily newspaper "Sportski žurnal" after the match against Radwanska:

I don't think I played that badly, even though she won with a convincing scoreline. I'm simply not match tough, I've had a lot of problems with my shoulder and wrist during the last three years. I feel lucky I even got to play here.
I'm not optimistic. There have been so many injuries and they're dificult to heal. I have a chronic lesion of my shoulder tendon and it's not sure that even surgery can fix it. As a result, I can't practice more than 2 hours a day. It doesn't jeopardize my career, but it means I can't give my best as I can't train with full intensity. There's a lot of scar tissue in the muscle and I can't overuse it. I've tried everything.
I talked to Janko Tipsarević about the stem cell treatment he underwent and I tried it as well, with a different method. I don't want to go through it again as it's harmful for the entire organism. Janko, Rafa and I have done a lot of damage to our bodies. No matter how mentally tough I am, my body just can't go on anymore.

Thanks to @Joana
