A disappointing result (for we Aussies) but particularly disappointing that Stosur chose to miss the tie being played on clay so she can prepare for the clay season. Ok, maybe our clay is different to the euro courts, but you can't pick and choose when you're going to play for your country. Always play or never play. Stosur choosing not to play was disrespectful to the Ukraine (assuming we'd still get through) and we got our right wack. Congrats to the girls who did play for trying and representing us. And congrats to the Ukraine.

I was there too, the second set tiebreak with Nastya-Olga was epic
The doubles, should have won it 6-0 7-5 On Nastyas serve
I saw Jarka and Nastya after the match, poor Jarka, they both look like they were crying

I went today too, Took some photo's. Had my doubts about the venue but it was amazing. Crowd was great, and the court looked fantastic, only had tickets for today but now I'm fir sure going to go and get some tomorrow.

Well Beygelzimmer almost beat Capriati at the French Open in 2004, Savchuk reached the second round in 2007, and Kutuzova's best slam W/L record is at the French Open. I think that Australia will win, but Ukraine is a good team too. And they'd probably be the favorites with Alona and Kateryna
