Re: Heather's Cheering Thread

Change of plan, since the draw was revised to take account of Serena's withdrawal.

She plays Stosur in the first round.

Oh, that is not good... ... Kuzzy is very solid, I suspect Hev will really struggle here.

She withdrew from Washington because she said she's feeling under the weather. I was looking replacing the memory of one of her worst matches ever.
Ah ok.. Well she's never done very well in Washington anyway. She seems hyped up for the olympics. I think after that her main goal should be performing well at the US open.

Thanks to Heather Watson, Henri Kontinen is the first ever Finnish player to win a Grand Slam title in tennis......

Heather is now a part of the Finnish tennis history. I hope they will continue to play together in mixed doubles.....

Aww. Me too. I'm happier about Heather than I am about Andy!

Mr.Sparkle Yes Heather!! Wimbledon champion!

Heather was solid today. Despite all the frustrations, you have to admit she always delivers in finals. She chased down everything, her backhand was firing and she hit some great slices/volleys.

I hope she uses this to propel herself in singles. Plus she is decent on the American hard courts. But just great to see her lovely smile today. What a fantastic ambassador and role model she is for British tennis.
