As you can see, this thread was linked on that one and now vice versa. Looks like everyone is in agreement.

Re: Rate a commentator: Kevin Skinner

He was doing a few matches with Anabel at IW and there was NO chemistry at all, and Anabel could not commentate properly cause Kevin was babbling about random shit that has nothing to do with the technical parts of tennis

You seem to like the opposite of myself, the kind of commenting who feels forced to sound extremely excited as early as there's a good rally. That's certainly not how I get entertained. The "overly excited" commenting is easily the worst way to entertain, and it's become a ritual nightmare when it comes to athletics, cyclism or soccer already.

Thanks God tennis isn't infested by this stupidity, and let's pray it will never be.

Watching the Djokovic match and good ol' Kev just went:

"And the netcord says: Hey Novak, let me even things out here a little, you've had two lucky ones go over, as Djokovic's forehand bounces back to his side of the court"

At least he is consistent...

Uhlirova does not talk while the ball is in play and when she does speak it's about what both women are doing with their games. She doesn't judge just presents the facts and assumes her audience is informed enough about tennis to understand why something is happening on court.

It's interesting that she did most of the night matches up until Tsurenko vs Bouchard. Haven't heard from her since.
Never. He talks during the points, and always about some stupid irrelevance. Classic hallmark of a commentator who can't talk tennis. Even the knowledgeable ones are susceptible, but most of them don't talk during the points, and they're not nearly as inane as Skinner. All he has are catchphrases and pop culture references. No analysis whatsoever.

Can we start a petition to have Uhlirova (who is respectful and uses her experience to enhance her commentating and give insight unlike Bartoli who can only boast about her accomplishments like someone who has yet to move on) commentate every match and sack this useless nut + the French desperado.

Frame = Set
Fresh balls = New balls
Dialect = Language

You need to translate what he is saying. There must be more.
