Emma Lene (1999) made the final of G3 Londrina Tennis Cup in Brazil this week!
She beat (4)Daniela Alejandra La Fuente Strassburger (that name - she's #230) 7-6(6) 6-2 in R1, Camila Recalde 1 & 0 in QF (yes, there were no R2, directly QFs ), and Cindy Oest 2 & 0 in SF before falling to Daria Kuczer (who is only a few months older) in the final, 2 & 3.
This was her 2nd final this year, the first one was at a G4 in Guatemala in March and she won it, beating Ulyana Shirokova in straight sets.
She already is at a new CHR of 278 (+37) this week, will get close to the Top 200 next week

A few French teens were in finals of junior tournaments in the past 3 weeks - still always losing in the final though (apart from Mylène), that's a pattern
2 weeks ago, Alice Robbe (2000) made the final of G4 ITF Junior Circuit in Lomé, Togo. She was the 15th seed there, lost to US 4th seed Malkia Menguene (who is only a few months younger), 7-5 4-6 4-6 in the final.
Menguene beat another French girl, Chloé Cirotte, just before in SF, 2 & 1.
Alice made the SFs of G5 Autolang Bodensee Junior Open in Switzerland the week before, and the SFs of G5 ITF/CAT African Junior Circuit II the week after, in Lomé again.
Speaking of these 2 other tournaments, Juliette Colard (2000) was in the final of the Swiss G5! She was the 5th seed there, fell to Swiss 4th seed Simona Waltert 3 & 4 in the final.
Waltert was the one Alice lost to in SF (got thrashed by her, 0 & 1 )... Good week for Juliette, with a notable good win over top seed Medina Sahinagic in QF, 7-5 6-3.
And both Alice and Chloé were in the SFs of the G5 in Togo last week.
Alice lost again to Menguene (who was the top seed that week), in SF this time, 2-6 5-7
As for Chloé, she won her SF match this time, 3-6 7-5 6-2 over 6th Destinee Martins but she lost to Menguene in the final, 3 & 3
This Menguene girl has been pigeonificating the French girls in Africa Don't know which year Chloé was born, but she's played U14 tournaments this year, so 2001 or after.

There was an all-French final at G4 Clermont-Ferrand today! 2nd seed Sandra Bozinovic (born in 1999) defeated Loudmilla Bencheikh (born in 2001), 3 & 3 in this final.
Congrats to Sandra who didn't drop a set all week
And to Loudmilla on a very good effort, with a notable win over top seed Carla Hassaine (#229), 4 & 1 in R2 and another good win over 3rd seed Eleonora Molinaro (#382) 7-6(4) 7-6(9) in SF.

Swiatek won the whole thing, thrashing top seed Pachkaleva in the final. I don't think she's as tall as 180 though.

Mylene lost 1 and 4
well just saw her opponent physique and she's impressive , she's very tall (1.80) already and looks a woman at 13
good week for Mylene who keeps improving

in U16 Emma Lene had to retire in 3rd round against seed n°7 Berberovic(BIH) 0-2 ret. Emmanuelle facing 10 seed romanian Marculescu.
the U14 is the most exciting competition with loudmilla and mylene (U14 french national champion)
loudmilla beat the 10 seed romanian Corneanu 7-6(1) 3-6 6-3 in 2nd round Mylene won 2 matchs too. I believe very much in both of those girls especially Mylene that I think is already very mature and ready to become a champion. Well we have talent in France but we still waiting for a BIG Champion. Mylene started playing at 4 in Australia then she came to France at 7 y.o. Now she's training in south of France in Narbonne. She wants to become a top10 player and knows she'll have to work very hard to do so but she wants to succeed.
here a video of her she won the U14 national championship at Roland Garros beating her friend Loudmilla Bencheikh
