Very quiet for her last year and doubles with Shlomo. She got a good article on ITF site.

Re: Other Slovene girls - introductions and results

Petra Rampre will be playing FED CUP in Japan next year! Good to see that even a blind man such as Iztok Bozic can actually take a look at the rankings and see that Rampre is the logical choice out of the claycourt "specialists" in the Slovene team.

The last time Petra played in Fed Cup was in 2002 when Slovenia beat Ukraine in Portoroz and she played doubles with Brumen.

Is TS her sponsor or what? Nice promo

These younger girls are really good looking. Masa Smic is also quite a looker - it's a shame that her results are regressing this year.

Re: Other Slovene girls - introductions and results

Petra has qualified for only her 3rd WTA MD and the first since Klagenfurt 2000! Bojana Jovanovski is the opponent in the first round I'm not sure she can beat her but sure as hell it won't be easy for the Serb.

Go Petra!

Re: Other Slovene girls - introductions and results

In addition to the title she had won in Raleigh, Petra Rampre also played the final in El Paso 25, won another 50k in Boston and is now in the SF of the 50k in Waterloo! With the latest win over Chanel Simmonds 0 and 6, she'll overtake Zec-P and become the 2nd best ranked Slovenian!

What an unbelievable spell of results for her!

Funny, I think she never considered her serve to be any kind of a weapon

that's such a wonderful result for Petra and how awesome it would be if she could carry on with this form and perhaps even get to the US qualies. Maybe they should give her a QWC for promoting USTA circuit

The thing that stuck out at me the most was her serve. She dominated most of her service games throughout the match.

I was there... and she won 6-3, 6-2.

Apparently she's a favorite here after playing in this tournament so many times... so it was good to see her win.

Re: Other Slovene girls - introductions and results

Petra Rampre just made a final on 50k in Relaigh beating Stevenson, Babos, Muhammed and Boserup.
She will play Giorgi in the final, good luck

Re: Other Slovene girls - introductions and results

I just realized. Out of that awesome generation of Slovenian girls born in the years 80 and 81, Petra Rampre is the last one standing and still competing in singles Katarina Srebotnik, Tina Pisnik, Maja Matevzic, Tina Hergold, Petra Rampre, Nives Culum and Tina Hojnik won all 3 possible Junior World Team Championships in the categories U-14(1995), U-16(1996) and U-18(1997). The first 3 made it to the top 100 in singles and doubles, Rampre to top 100 in doubles, the rest dropped out due to injuries. Now we're seeing the swan song of this generation

Re: Other Slovene girls - introductions and results

The final 2010 WTA rankings will come out on Monday when I'll post the ranking of the Slovene girls.

Most notable achievements of the recent months. Jakupovic has returned back to top 400, Anja Prislan had very solid reults at the end of the year and moves to around her career best in the top 700.

Petra Rampre and Polona Rebersak both scored a first round win at the tournaments in Redding and Zagreb.
