Re: Ani Mijacika cheering thread

Almost fainted upon seeing her name in the doubles draw for Bol 10k this week, it's her first appearance in over two years.

Don't know the reasons behind it, but it's nice to see her back anywhere. Hopefully it's the start of some comeback - Bol will be hosting three more 10k's in the following weeks so why not. She is now 27 years old, and her respective best ever rankings are 193 for singles and 222 for doubles. No reason not to give it a shot for a few more years if health allows. She is, of course, currently not on any ranking lists.

(4)Cucca/Dentoni vs. Jung/Mijacika

Best of luck Ani

Well Pandzic had that horrible car accident, and then she had all kinds of injury issues.

Re: Ani Mijacika cheering thread

Ani lost 0 and 3 to Min at Osprey last weekend and 1 and 2 to Voegele today at Charleston.

I'm afraid Ani isn't really top-200 material

Ani is in Osprey qualies. Look at the players in her qualifying section!

(1)Jill Craybas (USA) v Monica Puig (PUR)
Ani Mijacika (CRO) v (wc)Grace Min (USA)
Ashley Weinhold (USA) v Julia Boserup (USA)
(6)Michelle Larcher De Brito (POR) v Chi Chi Scholl (USA)

Re: Ani Mijacika cheering thread

Ani is playing her first tournament of the year (not including Fed Cup) this week, at the $25K in Fort Walton Beach.

In R1 she crushed Sadikovic, who's just a few spots below Ani in the rankings. The score was 3 and 1.

In R2 she plays Domachowska, who's seeded #5. Good luck, Ani!
