Re: Andrea Petkovic

I'm somehow always worried that she cannot even get through the off-season training. There seems to be something wrong with her ankle. Since she still had the mood to post it, it might not be a big problem. But...who knows

Re: Andrea Petkovic

Nensel as a shared coach. Still can't believe she's doing this to me.

BTW, she seems to be in a training camp with Nensel.
There is a whole team of kids with Nensel

I don't believe he is a good coach for a top ten player, but it's her decision... She had the coach with whom she was succesful and she screwed up everything, so what to expect.

Re: Andrea Petkovic

. I thought I had seen the last of Nensel when he and Julia parted company. Not only does he coach another player, but he also has his "Nensel Academy" outside of Hanover and is the director of sports at Schüttler Waske. Busy guy. Maybe Petko's ok with a coach who is about 37.5% dedicated .

Only time will tell if their collaboration bears fruit. I wouldn't dismiss Nensel as a coach based on his last few years with Julia and Kamke--it's always about whether the stars are aligned properly between an inspiring coach, a receptive (and healthy) player, and a decent strategy going forward. And then there's luck, of course--hopefully the good kind .

Wishing Petko well....

Where's your humor sense man?Of course her Daddy won't do the coaching anymore. Except for daddy and the 70 year-old guy, I believe she shouted the rest of all her "coaches".
And Jan de Witt is absolutely a sharing coach no matter how long he worked with her. That's also the initial reason why she needs Simon Goffin as a backup/assistant coach.

Why "again"? When I read "share" I'd expect a 50:50 attention for both sides but I've seen de Witt only perhaps 3 or 4 times at Petkos side. So it can get only better.

Said that, I hope Nensel will be her real coach this time but not any young, inexperienced substitutes. If that's the case there could be chance the she will listen a bit more to him because of his age.

And I agree: with probably being afraid of making a wrong decision (again), choosing Nensel was the easiest and for her feelings most secure decision since she already knew him. But as far as I remember her father isn't available anymore since he doesn't want to travel that much anymore. So that whole constellation could also be a flop again.
