When I see draws like this, it really makes me mad at American players...this is a perfect example of you never know. I mean Nancy in the qualie draw.
Where is Cory Ann, Tanner, Ally, Kristen, Tiffany, Bielek, etc...This would have been an excellent opportunity to try and get some points and maybe even qualify

maybe they are local girsl who play at the club?
Perhaps they came through pre-qualies? Or won the club championships?

And may I add that the tournament's wildcard policy is a bit surprising to say the least ?
Like last year, Liina Suurvarik and Alesia Mikalayeva have received WC's. Who are they ?
Even more strange is that their matches here last year have been their only pro matches ever so far.
Suurvarik at least gave Jill Craybas a decent match, losing 4-6 2-6.
But Mikalayeva was double-bageled by Stephanie Foretz. How in hell did she get another WC ???

Thanks everyone for your efforts to get the order of play and the draw .
What were the probabilities of having Stéphanie vs. Marion on the first round of qualies .

|GBTG_Fan||omg i ahvent heard of some of those players. Afinogenova vs Van horne is a joke, lol. Katia is good, but not good enough to merit r2 of a tier 2 qualies.|

followed by -- Marissa IRVIN (USA) vs. Greta ARN (GER)
followed by -- Ansley CARGILL (USA) vs. Nannie DE VILLIERS (RSA)
10 AM -- Andrea REMYNSE (USA) vs. Evgenia KOULIKOVSKAYA (RUS)
followed by -- Liezel HUBER (RSA) vs. Alesia MIKALAYEVA (BLR)
followed by -- Allison BRADSHAW (USA) vs. Aniko KAPROS (HUN)
followed by -- Stephanie COHEN ALORO (FRA) vs. Marion BARTOLI (FRA)
10 AM -- Ali VAN HORNE (USA) vs. Katia AFINOGENOVA (RUS)
followed by -- Liina SUUVARIK (EST) vs. Antonella SERRA-ZANETTI (ITA)
followed by -- Stephanie FORETZ (FRA) vs. Nancy LOEFFLER-CARO (CAN)
Obviously the draw is extremely WEAK ! What's going on ?
And only 11 matches. Does that mean that there are 5 byes ? At least that would explain why Nancy is there.
