Re: Ever taken a video...

oh yeah.

with my serve, my ball toss is usually completely off and really low. when i'm playing i really don't realize. i always think i'm tossing it real high (when i'm really concentrating) but when i saw myself on video it was higher than normal, but still low compared to usual standards!

and my stance while hitting a forehand is gross!

Ever taken a video...

of yourself playing tennis?

I did recently and was surprised to see some really obvious errors in my game which I thought I was improving on. My back leg on my serve flys out to the side at contact. I even do it sometimes when I'm really concentrating on not doing it, and I can't feel that I am doing it. It looks like I am falling into the serve. I guess it's just bad habits that I do all the time and that muscle memory has become familiar, even though the technique is very bad.

Anyone else ever seen a video of themselves playing tennis and been completely surprised at how it looks?
