Re: The Suicide Locker Room.

I see it's not clear in the rules yet, but a correct pick always beats an invalid pick.
p@wcio is the winner in this case.

Re: The Suicide Locker Room.

can someone look at the results in Wuhan thread? if we first count number of games lost then AlissonValerio is the winner, but if we count first the total number of correct picks then p@wcio is the winner

AlissonValerio had a wrong pick at day 1 but survived due to BYE

It's the managers job to do it, the last rule should definitely decide who the winner is, without room for discussion.

Re: The Suicide Locker Room.

The rules are the following

-total number of games lost by each picked player in the round they were picked
-total number of sets lost by each picked player in the round they were picked
-the player who posted first in the final day

Re: The Suicide Locker Room.

Could anyone with some rules knowledge find the actual winner of the Brisbane tournament please ? There's some confusion right now.

Re: The Suicide Locker Room.

When did the rules change that picks cannot be posted after first match is started? That's the silly rule on MTF - we have never used this rule. Is this true that it was changed?

Re: The Suicide Locker Room.

The best way to see how many Byes any given tournament has is to check the thread from the previous year. It's usually 8 or 16, but a couple have 32.

cool, dude ... thank you!
yours was one of the threads that James told me to copy ... but when I started studying it, I came up against the system in that thread you mentioned @ http://www.tennisforum.com/showpost....postcount=1680

I bout had a heart attack when I saw that mother trucker, dude!
it's the same thread you mentioned, but it's the most recent version ... i couldnt find my own name in the first post cuz i wasnt here in january ... BUT ... I also couldnt find my own name in the most recent version, and I'm pretty sure I should be on there cuz I think I played at least once ... thing is ... you can't find any names with the usual method of "search." every gamer name I tried to find on there came up -0- cuz the names are all on a jpeg ... and there are 226 names on there! ... K so .... nevermind about that ... I just went over there again and discovered there's a version down the page that's in alphabetical order and I could find the names that way.

Next Question:
The tournaments are divided into those with seeds+byes, and those without, right?
? How do you figure out who the seeds+byes are?

thx,

I've been wondering about this, so I just gotta ask: How can you have more than one backup pick?

Youre not allowed to edit your pick post, right?
So the only way you could have multiple backups would be to post them all at once, right?

For example:

Day 3 pick: Ivanovic
Backup: Williams
Backup: Kerber
Backup: Stephens

But that cant be right, can it? Doesnt comply with the rules, does it? ???

Re: The Suicide Locker Room.

bump for ANYBODY who knows

how long it takes a first-time Suicide Tennis Manager
to learn the sophisticated system of calculation
that is a part of the manager posts of ST threads
like the ones mentioned in my post #164 ?
... the threads by wedgie and delicatecutter ...

namely, the complicated system @
http://www.tennisforum.com/641-suicide-tennis/284396-suicide-tennis-rankings-updated-after-wimbledon-yec-race.html

please ..... does anybody know? ???

EDIT:
I dont need to know how long it takes to learn the system so much as where to get a copy of the instructions how to use and merge smoothly with it in my manager threads.

thx,
sweetspot
