Emma Murphy's heart, meantime, had to be somewhere else yesterday. On Friday, the former USD player had been advised that her father had suffered a heart attack in County Cork, Ireland. Emma was out there yesterday, running down every ball as she always does and making a bold stand in coming from 1-5 down in the second set before falling to Mathilde Johansson, a smoothie from France..
Emma's father survived his attack, but he remains hospitalized. She is scheduled to leave for Ireland this morning.

Hard luck Emma on losing in her first career pro final in Mexico, she lost to Ellah Nze of the USA 6-4 6-2. I am sure we will definitely see Emma in many more finals in a very promising career.

Yeah that would be great, I don't think enough people are interested in Irish tennis, I think tv channels should show more coverage instead of soccer/GAA/Rugby all the time.

Yeah I just saw that she pulled out of Redding next week. She said after she won the Irish Indoors, that some rich American woman was funding her tournaments for the next couple of months, hopefully she still is
