There's more than results on court. There was an interview with the general secretary of Latvian Tennis Federation, where he was asked about possible WTA event in Latvia. He said that 15 years ago it would have been realistic, but now he does not believe that anyone is gonna spend millions to organize it and such money would be better spent elsewhere anyway.

ETF used to have a similar ideology and that's why for years there was no pro event for women in Estonia.

Re: Estonian Tennis

That Saar vs Narmont third set TB Helena seems to be improving, but Katriin is obviously tired. Quite impressive to win that many close matches in a row to be honest! Hopefully she rests before Riga, I'm not sure she'll have enough time to recover

Anyway, good to see Katriin fight through! She should be fine for the Final now. Hopefully she isn't too tired with those tournaments ahead.

Re: Estonian Tennis

Katriin getting a bit tired I guess. Hopefully she has enough energy to get past Lissi, it seems almost impossible that she could lose to Narmont or Liivik

Re: Estonian Tennis

Good result for Katriin, definitely a lot closer this time. Hopefully she can take this form across to the 18U and upcoming ITFs!

Re: Estonian Tennis

These two seem to be the best right now, at least on Clay. Plakk would beat them on Hard I guess. I'm interested to see who wins this time, Sonya has won more in the past but of course Katriin was so impressive last week.

The 1998-2000 girls are really going through a terrible patch right now. At least a lot of the 2002 girls are doing well in the G5
