Re: Cristina Dinu

She took a wilcard into the $15k Hammamet tournament.
Smart choice.

Hope she goes far ... Torro-Flor is in her section.

Cristina

Former junior #3 Blinkova was one of the toughest R1 draws

Still too many losses this year. A disappointing year. Cristina must improve in 2017

In the qualies of the 100KH Dubai. Unfortunately plays the #1 seed Quirine Lemoine first round. Cristina is 0-1 h2h, but this is their first meeting on hardcourt.

Re: Cristina Dinu

Why is she losing so many matches ???

She is such a big talent and should be in Top 100 already

Please get it together, Cristina !

Dayana Yastremska (UKR) d. Cristina Dinu (ROU) 64 63

Well after taking a break, and a vacation, it's great to have her back playing. Too bad she couldn't win this match ...

Re: Cristina Dinu

Tried her best to do a McEnroe impersonation I also thought initially Cristina had broken a string when she hit that last backhand, hence her frustration... but may have been just a frame or something.

This video is from 2008 so I understand the title... but clearly Serena's 2nd serve foot fault and point penalty was a much more exciting ending

Re: Cristina Dinu

Well, just the racket throw at the end was something you don't see too often on the women's circuit.

Funny for us, but not for her and given that she got a point penalty on MP (which I haven't seen in years), it explains the exaggerated reaction. Here's a video of a guy's reaction that received a foot fault on 2nd serve, down MP, in an ATP Challenger:
