Re: Patricia Maria Tig

Lost in QR1 of WTA Prague vs. Razzano in straights .....

Next could be Madrid qualies if there will be a few good withdrawals ...

Re: Patricia Maria Tig

At least she won a three set match against Kerkhove this week.
She's getting better slowly ...

Prague is next!

Re: Patricia Maria Tig

AGAIN!! Close three-set loss to a much higher-ranked opponent, once more. Heartening yet ultimately frustrating.

Yes, yet another tough three-set loss to a higher-ranked opponent...Should be heartened by these repeated close calls but definitely overdue an impressive win.

She was up a break early in that third set. Needs to get some self-confidence back soon

Re: Patricia Maria Tig

She drew the Bogota GOAT Still she has a good chance... is not like Lamedes is having great results recently, plus I'm pretty sure I remember their only match in the h2h so far, two years ago in Mexico and it was really close. Pati can play through the moonballs

Is it a confidence thing? Presumably not a fitness issue as she played 3 tough matches this weekend. I really want her to notch up a couple of confidence-boosting wins, and she is obviously close!
I do believe there might be bit of a confidence issue, as in maybe she doesn't yet believe that she belongs near the best players in the world on the WTA tour. Also there is still a lack of experience I think, mostly in choosing the right shot at the right time. Was at times obvious especially when the score got tight... some easy errors started to creep in...
