Re: The Juniors

New career high at 3rd for Bianca, just a few points from second.
I guess more than half of this top 15 won't play much junior events in 2016 or will go 100% Pro from now on.

I predict that Bianca, Kayla Day and Potapova will be the top 3 juniors this year, although the top spot can always be grabbed by an older floater who wins a Slam or a Grade A before turning Pro.

Sebov is 47th and Felix 10th

Re: The Juniors

We shouldn't worry at all on the long term about the stress fractures Bianca and Charlotte suffered. That's how bones actually get stronger. When put under stress for a long period and repeatedly, the bones simply have to reorganize their inner structure like the beams of a cathedral, so that later it can sustain the same stress or a greater one without difficulties. The girls are actually in the process of toughening up their bodies.

Maybe if it were the finals of a professional GS but it's the 3rd round of a junior tournament.

They have to manage for the long term good and risking a complete fracture isn't something that serves that. In reality, not something that really needs a second thought.

This was the strangest match I've seen in a while, Felix gifted every game lost in both sets. His opponent had a decent serve and that's about it. He just returned balls and waited for FAA to make the errors. Almost no winners from him, his points were all given to him. Very slow between points too, Felix just never figured it out that he was being played for the aggressive mistakes.

Hopefully a learning experience for him.

A stress fracture could take off the courts for weeks or even months.

Someone said on twitter they overheard from her box during the doubles match yesterday that she has a stress fracture in her foot. She had a MTO in between the first and second sets of doubles yesterday, and had it taped up.

Maybe explains all the DFs on foot faults in her last singles match.
