I saw a tweet, I think it was from Kristie Ahn, just before Stanford play Cal in football.

It referred to the following link.

Olivia Hauger to join Cal Bears: http://www.calbears.com/ViewArticle....CLID=209765826

Did I miss this news in an earlier post? If so, my apologies.

Apparently she's finishing HS early and will come to Cal next year.

She's top 100 in the ITF Rankings, so this looks like a great get for my Bears! So exciting!

She will step in just as Susanyi graduates.

More on Kimberly Yee (Stanford-bound)...
http://www.tennisforum.com/showthrea...=794673&page=5

I think when you see the video, it's understandable that she's taking her academics seriously, given her family's sacrifice, to get an education at Stanford is a great gift to her parents, so I get her coach's comments about congratulations to the Yee family, as well.

Very grounded and mature for her age, sportsmanship award, great outlook towards helping others, and well-rounded person.

Given that their highest rankings on TRN were 161, 692, 791 and 819, respectively, I think it's pretty safe to say that they're all walk-ons and *not* getting scholarships.

They did team photos the other day. I counted a least a couple of extra players.

I think she'll likely turn pro early. I'd be surprised if she doesn't return this season though.

From the list of uncommitted players, there are 3 more players who are interested in Stanford: Kevakian, Oosterhout, and Yee. Stanford should get at least one of those.
Let's go Cards!!!

I have a feeling Stanford offered Kostas a full-ride for her final 2 years (similar to what they did with Dillon).

Well, if Stanford gets Yee, UCLA can still get Kevakian...
