Re: Bug reports

The inaccessible last post error comes up pretty often, and can happen for a variety of reasons though a deleted post is most common culprit. Increasing your posts displayed to the max minimizes this occurring, as fewer pages need to be created.

We have yet to find a permanent solution for this, but we have the temp fix that clears it up pretty reliably. It's not unique to this site, but has to do with the software the site uses. Going to run the fixes right now just in case, though the example threads I looked at here were fine on my end.

It took them 2 months to reply to the first bug report. Be patient.

This happens when the post count is one behind, e.g. your post is #301 of 300. The next page with post #301 is not being generated because the post count is stuck at 300. You need to make another post (#302) in order for the post count to get to 301.

But the tech guys have spent 6 months not fixing the regular breakdowns, so I don't imagine the post count bug is a priority.

It's currently happening on the Johanna Konta thread in her player forum. You can't see the last post (the one after mine).

Re: Bug reports

Hey there

Looks like the majority of the threads you're having trouble with are the larger ones. When they get to that size, they often end up losing themselves as you try to add to it. It's generally recommended that threads over 1000 posts get a new 'chapter two' thread and start again, with a link to the original for reference.

As I mentioned in my post above, once I'd added another post in the Jo Konta thread where the problem was, it then showed the next page where my original post was. So there's nothing unusual to see now. Hope this makes sense.

It's not the first time this has happened. Weird.

This is also related to the post count bug. If it's off by -1, the new page does not show up before you post two replies.

It happens all the time.

Are you thread starter in the Konta thread by any chance?

E.g. here it's post number is +1 higher than the total number of posts.

And here the software thinks there is one more post than there actually is. It's at the end of the page (15 posts/page) and a link has been generated to the next page already. (I have checked, the phantom post does not exist and it's not because I have somebody on ignore. If you click the link to the next page (219) you just end up where you were (218).).

Like I said, not hugely important, but I'm curios to know what's causing this.
