Re: Priscilla Hon

Well Priscilla won the $25K in Brisbane Her 2nd title and first at the $25K level. Has leapt up the rankings to #358 and continues to rise with an easy straight sets win over Arcangioli in R1 of the $50K in Canberra!

Still only 17 and a half. She's doing so well!

Re: Priscilla Hon

She has the game to beat both of these girls A great opportunity for a SF

Re: Priscilla Hon

^Interesting stats, thanks Oztennis.

Well, her good form continues easily beating Ilona Kremen in R2 6-4 6-1

Her 2nd QF of the series. Plays Eguchi or Lertcheewakarn next.

Re: Priscilla Hon

If Hon can win her 2nd Rd match in Brisbane tomorrow, she will rise to a career high WTA Ranking of ~475.

She's ending 2015 as a 17 year old - thought it would be interesting to compare with some other Aussie players at the same age.

Ashleigh Barty - 164 (2013)
Isabella Holland - 352 (2009)
Olivia Rogowska - 491 (2008)
Sally Peers - 445 (2008)
Jessica Moore - 372 (2007)

Re: Priscilla Hon

She hasn't had the best Singles run, but that win over Natela was good. For her it's just about gaining confidence and consistency. She has the game to be Top 100 for sure But she seems to be a lot more focused now on her tennis now

Re: Priscilla Hon

Priscilla is having a pretty good Aussie ITF season so far. She'll break into the top 500 in singles and top 300 in doubles.

Her results:

Tweed Heads - singles QF, doubles F. Wins over Asia Muhammad and Abigail Tere-Apisah
Cairns - singles R2 (beat Bains), doubles SF
Toowoomba - lost R1 to Cairns finalist Tjandramulia, doubles QF
Brisbane - def. (6)Dzalamidze in R1 who she'd lost to 2-6 3-6 in Cairns!

She's still only 17 and hasn't played many seniors events overseas yet. Future looking pretty bright...

Re: Priscilla Hon

So Pri's leaving Europe now. Sad to see as I would have liked her to play a couple more tournaments

She probably didn't meet her expectations as to what she wanted to achieve in these 4 tournaments, but at least she got one title out of it Hopefully she is now coming home and training hard for the Aussie ITFs

Re: Priscilla Hon

Pri It's a shame her Singles performances haven't been better, but she'll come along I think.

Yeah same. I question whether or not she should play a schedule like Tomics. Imo, it's a good start up to a career as the tournaments are fairly weak, however I think Sara will be blown away when she tries to step up a level. And when Pri is already playing at a high level she may get used to it and be a stronger player
