Re: If It Wasn't For Serena

Kvitova would have trashed her in the Wimbledon semis

Um,Maria has actually gone OK against Venus except maybe on grass

Re: If It Wasn't For Serena

Well it's no new knowledge that Serena is the only player putting a brake to Victoria's quest -- don't know if she would have won all these titles but one thing is for sure Serena has denied her lots of big titles, AO 2009, 2010, US Open 2011 and Wimbledon 2012. I hope Serena will start paying for all these one day -- we'll see.

I didn't read the rest of the thread and I could care less about me trying to converse with you. Just always calling you out on your Just saying Vika has a chance against Maria on any surface.

I didn't say we could know the outcome of the match for sure, just that Maria would probably have won, due to the fact that the aspect of Vika's game that troubles Maria most on hardcourts isn't as good on grass.

Yes, then we agree.

We can't know the outcome of this match.

Re: If It Wasn't For Serena

Maria lost to Serena 6-0 6-1
Vika managed to win more games....

that on grass.

So while I agree on saying that Vika would have not been a lock at all against Maria, it's just silly to say Maria would have won. She is nowhere near her 2004-2005 best on grass lbr.

At the Olympics, where Maria was playing reasonably well, Maria would probably have won. Vika doesn't move anywhere near as well on either clay or grass as she does on hardcourts, and we saw what happens in Stuttgart when Vika isn't able to defend well against Maria.

Re: If It Wasn't For Serena

Jesus. I like Vika, but she wouldn't've beaten Petra at Wimbledon or Maria at the Olympics.

Re: If It Wasn't For Serena

As someone else said, Vika would have had to play Kvitova in the Wimby semis, so that one is by no means guaranteed.

Re: If It Wasn't For Serena

If it was not for Justine, Serena would have completed the calendar Grand Slam in 2007 !

Jesustine saved tennis.
