She's only got doubles tomorrow.. against the no.1 seeds. I don't think Laura ever puts pressure on herself in doubles though, she's happy to just bash away.

And only 4 DF in total - amazingly good for Laura. She won 64% of both her 1st and second serves, which again is great. Please keep it up Laura and don't let this be a flash in the pan.

Laura was very good at taking her opportunities today. She broke in each of the three games where she got a look at a break point.

And she defending her own BPs well. Got her first serve in 71% of the time she was facing a BP. She had a long game trying to serve out the first set and faced four BPs all of which she saved, including one with an ace.

Broke immediately at the start of the 2nd set and Burger didn't get another break point in the match. Laura did DF on her first match point but finished with her second.

Stops a seven match losing streak.

Yay! Must of helped winning that doubles match previously in terms of confidence.

Their serving stats are quite similar. The key to the match seems to be that Burger only won 1/7 BPs where as Laura won 3/5.

Any win at the moment is welcome. Even in the first round of doubles at a $60K. No one can say we aren't true fans.

That's a nice result. I remain cautiously optimistic about whether that will translate into success in singles.

Laura is second on court 3 tomorrow.

Burger is 1-3 on the year so far losing to Rogowska, Cepede Royg and Pereira. I mean, of course it's winnable for Laura. But most of her matches should be. Who can tell whether Laura will turn up.

Quite different conditions coming from Australia to Europe. This tournament is on indoor hard court.

I don't know anything about her game but she's ranked 138, almost a career high, and had 40 match wins last year, often beating players in the 200-300 ranking. Like most ITF players she had a fair few losses as well, including several to players around the 400 mark, so she is beatable but in Laura's current form I'm not too confident.

Re: Return Winner: The Laura Robson support thread.

Bring Krajan back pls!!!!!!
It feels like she has no joy hitting the ball atm, even when she hits a beautiful winner. Not postive at all and all we can see is a slow, average Laura Robon.
She even seems to lose the power of her forehand, right? her forehand is not as powerful as before from what i seen in the AO.Her backhand is as weak as hell,no power at all,and with an aditional unstable serve,I just feel like the old Laura is gone,I can't recognize this very average Laura Robson. She is just not mature enough to arrange her career properly.
