Re: Juniors

Sandra Bozinovic (1999) is playing the South American swing, she's played 4 tournaments so far with a couple of deep runs

2 weeks ago at G1 Copa Banco de Venezuela, she made the QFs. She was the 12th seed, had a bye in R1, beat qualifier Lina Maria Romero Alarcon 1 & 1 in R2, and 7th seed Agostina Zamprogno (#143) 0 & 1 in R3 fell to 15th seed Federica Bilardo 1 & 3 in QF

This week at G1 Mundial Juvenil de Tenis in Colombia, she made the SFs, beating qualifier Mimi Levine 2 & 1 in R1, 2nd seed Yuliana Monroy (#69) 6-1 7-5 in R2, 14th seed Yang Lee (#126) 1 & 3 in R3 and Daniela Morales Beckmann 3 & 1 in QF, before falling short against 7th seed Tatiana Pieri in SF, 4-6 5-7

The fields in these South American tournaments are ridiculously weak, but she's snatched some pretty good wins, especially this week.

She started the year just out of the Top 200, already reached a CHR of 140 last week and will get closer to the Top 100 next week! She'll probably be playing her first Slam this year, at RG (either she'll make it directly into the MD by her own ranking, or they'll probably hand her a MDWC if that's not the case anyway)

I really like her game.
just watched an intv where she taled about her goals for next year, she said she's gonna try to make her first wta points, playing itf tournaments and improve her (bad) junior ranking, she's322 now.
she seems very shy and cute. I wish her to be happy and sereine in her game. Never easy to be a coach daughter cause you have to prove.
hope she'll get free on the court.

Wow, so I just did a bit of looking up on Carole, and yeah she was born in Kiev. I'm very curious about her exact origins! She lives in Muret now, which is a few kms from my city.
And her coach Hervé Romain is running his own tennis camp (called RTT - RomainTennisTeam) in Argeliers.

(De 15/1 ŕ -2/6 en 1 an Impressionnant! )

Re: Juniors

congrats to Carole Monnet who has ukrainian roots and trains in Romain tennis camp.
she's among the best european players of her age, wish her the best for her next season to climb the ranking and be part of the best juniors.

As for Julia, wish her also the best, she seems very positive, see her next year with better improvement.

Re: Juniors

Julia Vulpio's journey in Israel has been a flop in the end...

She made: G2 R3 - G3 R3 - G3 R2... And in the first 2 tournaments she had a bye in R1, so she's actually won 1 match only each week. :-/

Re: Juniors

Congrats to Carole Monnet (2001) on making her very 1st G18 final, at G5 ITF Scandic Junior Open in Norway this week... as a LL.

Indeed, she was the 4th seed in qualies, but she lost badly to 5th seed Victoria Walter in Q3, 2 & 2...

She got one of the 2 LL spots, and she beat Britt Storhaug 1 & 2 in R1, 7th seed Zeynep Erman (#885) 4 & 2 in R2, 2nd seed Lillian Gabrielsen (#545) 2 & 3 in QF, and Caijsa Wilda Hennemann 4 & 1 in SF she fell to top seed Olga Helmi (2000, #468) 2 & 3 in the final.

Way to take advantage of her luck! The girl who beat her in Q3 got thrashed by another qualifier in R1... Tennis can be so random at time
Carole is still 13, she was born on December.
She had made another final this year before this one, at a G14 in Iceland in May. Looks like she likes playing in Nordic countries!

GL to Julia under the French flag, hopefully she'll get more support here.

She's made 2 finals so far this year, both in August: the 1st one was at a G4 in Zimbabwe, which she won (she was the 6th seed, beat unseeded Nermeen Shawky 7-5 7-5 ), the 2nd at a G4 in Mauritius, which she lost (she was the top seed, lost to 5th seed Snehal Mane, 7-5 2-6 2-6 ).
She has a CHR of 302, reached in September. She's been playing in Israel this month, playing a G3 there this week. GL!
oh my God I was checking her official website, wanting to know more about her jst few days ago

good you talk about heer, I think she's very talented. On her website you can see her hitting a bit with novak djokovic 6 years ago, she was 9 years old, so cuute and nice from this great champion to take time to realize a child dream. <3
hope the best for Julia and of course I will have a look at her progression and results
