Re: The Discovery Thread

Yes it's not bad, she's obviously the best talent from her year group, up there with the 2001 and 2002 girls as well.

Yeh not really good wins over good players, but still she handled these players who are like 3, 4, 5, years older than her with ease, quite impressive for a 13 year old in her first international U18 tournament.

(2)Johnson (USA) d. V.Apisah (PNG) 67(4) 76(4) 62

So four girls in the second round: Lin, Mendez, Da Silva Fick and Haet.

Nice win for Mickey there, Black did pretty good in Traralgon.

Finally a win for Jeanette, it's been a while..

Popovic seems kind of decent, did well in Traralgon too. Good job to Cveticanin too, taking a set off one of the title favourites.

Re: The Discovery Thread

Mess from Violet. At least she's shown her great talent When will Tomic

The Silver Fig's rise is literally so random. She's really not that good

Re: The Discovery Thread

She broke to serve for the match at 5-5, led 7-6 *6-5 30-15 And 3-1* in the TB. Good try against a good opponent.

GDSF continuing her run of form, about to go up a set and 5-1* on 12th seed McNally.

Ajeet Rai NZ junior choked like Vio against 7th seed Apparently NZ Tennis didn't even think he was that good but he seems to be to doing ok lol.

Violet I'm not sure if she had MPs but definitely a tough loss either way.

Re: The Discovery Thread

I don't see anyone except Staines, Bozovic and Mendez winning. Maybe maybe maybe maybe Vio, but it's not looking good.

Re: The Discovery Thread

Tough draws for Patricia, Vio and Aleksa

The Silver Fig plays McNally again, who she beat 76 67 63 last week. Hopefully she can beat her again and would have a nice draw to reach R3.

If Seone can beat Appleton, I think she could reach the QFs.

Bozovic has the most winnable match from the rest. The others probably don't stand much of a chance

I sort of want Da Silva Fick to become big so she can be known as 'The Silver Fig' everywhere
