My Paris Trip Part 1 (very delayed blog)

Holla, I finally felt inspired to write my very late blog about Paris. It's probably going to be very brief as I don't remember anything as clearly as a few weeks ago.

Ok, so we took British Airways off to London(we connect to Paris there). I don't understand why we couldn't have taken a direct to Paris? Yes, it seems like no big deal, but the importance of that comes later. Airplane food was bad as expected, and I just couldn't sleep during the flight. After we touched down in Heathrow, we went on the wonderful journey from the terminals the farthest apart from each other; terminal 1 to terminal 4. So we popped through security(it went surprisingly quickly, I was surprised, especially that we were in London) and it turned out that our flight was delayed. So we plopped there at the airport for an extra hour and I still couldn't sleep. Flight from London to Paris, pretty uneventful, still couldn't sleep. Ok, so we're in Charles de Gaulle Airport. Waiting for's my suitcase............................shouldn't my cello be here?........................ok, im getting a little worried................where is my cello? ......... Oh great, don't tell me they've lost it...........yup, it's def. not here...AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHERES MY INSTRUMENT?? WHAT DO I DO?? AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! That's where the if we didn't have to take a connecting flight comes in. Stupid fuckin' British Airways, how do you lose a CELLO? Argh, so I have to go to the hotel without the instrument. The conductor tells me that they're looking for it, it should be here by the next morning. Kk, off to the hotel..............who expected traffic in Paris at 8:30 PM? Took an hour and a half to get there. Ok, at the hotel. Pack everybody onto the 4th floor, come down for dinner at 9:30 PM, eat dinner(dessert was the best part of course), go back, remember what to charge. Oh yeah, France has different plugs. I rummage through my roommate's 10 different adapters. WHAT? There's NONE that fit's with France?? Oh shit. *runs off to borrow one from our conductor**runs it back and puts it into the socket* Alright, everything should work, let's charge something . *plugs in computer* *HUGE FLASH* *all power goes out* OH SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh god, it smells like something's burning. My roommate and I run into the hall with my charger. Wow, the power surge protector did it's job, the protector inside melted so it was rendered useless. Thank goodness my charger itself didn't get damaged. Ok, what do do about power. Our conductor comes and calls the electricity person. We wait until about 1 AM for the guy to come. My roommate still needs to take a shower. Crap this. Finally the guy comes and he looks at it and says he needs a lot of stuff. Awww maaaaaaaaannnnnn. So he fixes it and ok, our power is back and it's 2 AM. We need to get up at 6 AM. Ok, quickly just get prepared and go to sleep. Ah, that was a fantastic first day huh? Fun, fun, 5 more days to go!

Yeah, I know, in general the trip wasn't that great for me. I didn't realize the first day would be so long.
