US Open update!

Jeca is playing some great tennis! First she rid the tournament of the devil Vaidisova and now she just put an end to Kuznetsova's quest at the Open. That's two Top 10 victories in a row! LenaD is up next and that will be another great match! Jelena is playing like a Top 10 player and there's no doubt in my mind that she will be very soon.

US Open 2nd round

I think all the ladies are in action today, which makes for a great day of tennis!! Serena and Dani are getting ready to face off--should be a good match!

Later on Ana will be playing. Yesterday Dushevina really pushed her. I think Ana has a lot of expectations on her shoulders. Hopefully, she will relax a little bit after pulling out her 1R win. Nothing would be better than an Ana/Serena 3R showdown on Saturday night!!

Ana won Montreal!!

So Ana beat Tati the other night. I am sad for Tati. I don't know what her problem is but I hope she can it together! As for Ana, I am thrilled that is in the next round. However, I am getting a bit bummed at her static results. Jankovic and Chakvetadze were both beatable players, and she should be beating them if she wants to get to that next level (Top 10). I'm curious to see how she handles Zheng today. And what will be the outcome of a possible rematch with Jankovic. I guess we'll have to wait...

Elena wins!!

I'm so excited for LenaD! I can't believe she avenged all 3 of her GS losses in one week! That is impressive, especially the win over Masha! But Jelena certainly didn't give it away in the final. She fought hard, and Elena earned her 6 title!! I'm so proud of her. I hope she does the same in New Haven!! And at the Open!
