I don't think any other time has there been a better NBA Conference final series than in 1979. You had a great series between Phoenix and Seattle that went to a thrilling game 7. Likewise, you had the Washington Bullets vs. San Antonio that also went 7 games.

Just curious what type of coaches do you like: honest ones or closed door ones. Couple of weeks ago on the show Cold Pizza, Mark Schlereth was the guest commentator with Skip Bayless. The discussion involved coach Bobby Knight was closing in one 879 wins held previously by Dean Smith.

Mark was asked who would you want your son to play for and he mentioned, Bobby Knight. When asked why, he said about Coach Knight playing fundamental basketball, graduating, and building better character....

So many commentators used the word talent way too much. My thinking of the word talent is someone who posses two important things; that could be speed and power; balance & endurance; strength and touch; brains and any other combination. You can combine these things in numerous way but you must have a combination.

For example: Virginia Wade had the brains but not the decision making part. Chris Evert had that part as well as brains. Tracy Austin had those facets as well as speed...

I had a crush on my friend at work; was looking up old yearbook at the library when she said the year she graduated, I couldn't believe how old she was. Then I started looking a little further back on her school. I noticed somebody passing away without date of birth or date. That got my fancy.
