Well its a case of 'lets do it all again', in the world of Kiwi tennis this week. O'Conner, Barry, Lee and Jones are all playing and hoping to qualify for a 25k in Rockhampton, Australia. Three (bar Lee) qualified last week, which was a great effort considering that Barry and Jones are unranked. Tracey is ranked somewere around 1200, but is much better than her ranking states she is. In the maindraw O'Conner and Barry had heavy first round losses. But Jones crushed an Aussie wildcard 61 63! For...

A great week for NZ tennis looms, with some outstanding results forthcoming from Australia and the USA. Jones, Barry, and O'Conner have all qualified for the 25k in Aussie! Jones an Barry are unranked players, so it is a stunning effort to qualify for a 25k. In fact this is Jones first pro tourney! tracey O'Conner, is following up some great results in Japan with a good start in Aussie. Meanwhile, in the USA, Leanne Baker is on the verge of qualifing for a 75k!!! This would be a dream come true...

This week on tour we see the return of the very talented Marama sisters! A pleasing sight to all New Zealand tennis fans. They, along with Leanne Baker will be playing in the $10k in Dublin. Eden won this tournament a couple of years ago so she knows how to play here. But unfortunately since she has not been playing on the circuit lately, she has to qualify to gain entry in to the main draw. I have no doubt that she and her sister Paula will put on a good showing here. Leanne on the other hand should...
