Just seeing Yas' blog reminded me...
My 6 year old came home from school last wednesday.
Question: Mam, do you know who wrote the Kortjakje-song (= popular nursery song)?
daughter: Mozart mammy! Not the lyrics, just the song.
did you learn about Mozart?
daughter: Yes. And did you know he could play the piano when he was 4? And...
Turned out their music teacher, whom I thought just learned them songs to sing, gives them a proper musical education
They als learn notes. After Ta and Titi, they learned Tiritiri. And then they have to sing the song like :
Titi titi titi ta
tiritiri tiritiri titi ta
Great isn't it? And now she wants to listen to our Mozart CD (thankfully, Mozart is one of the few composers I have a full CD of
), and she wants to see the movie Amadeus, which is shown on TV this weekend. Guess I'll record the last one, since I think she's a little too small for that
