View Full Version : The "Heja Åsa, Sofia and Helena @ Mission Impossible" thread

Jan 16th, 2004, 03:51 AM

Decided to use this pic from Roland Garros 2000 when Asa beat Sandrine Testud to reach the fourth round :). Hopefully she can repeat this, this time vs Chanda and in r1, seems almost impossible, but the faith must be kept. Asa is very excited and happy to be playing again so she'll give her best :D Heja Åsa!

Sofia Arvidsson makes her debut at a grand slam main draw vs (6)Anastasia Myskina, Sofia has already beaten players like Sugiyama and Schnyder, again almost impossible, but we need faith. Good luck Sofia :D

Helena Ejeson is in trip to Australia and will try to qualify to the doubles main draw, I don't know what partner but hopefully she can make the cut and do some good match(es) in the main draw, she's probably the second best doubles player in Sweden, so will be good experience. Good luck Helena :D

Asa Svensson

R1 - vs. (9)Chanda Rubin

Sofia Arvidsson

R1 - vs. (6)Anastasia Myskina

Helena Ejeson

Doubles draw was released, Helena Ejeson didn't made the cuttoff

Asa is playing with Meilen Tu, Ma. Emilia Salerni seems didn't made the travel..

anyways Asa's great draws continue and now they face Myskina/Zvonareva

I'm possitive that this shit draws on hardcourts only mean easy draws on red clay :p

Asa lost 6-3, 4-6, 6-3  some key points won by Chanda in third set made the difference, still good sign of Asa, after ages out, doing well :)
Good luck in doubles Asa :D

As far as I know Asa was unsure to play Ortisei, or Midland, or both :p
Hope she plays Midland so she rests 2 weeks after Aussie to keep training

Does anyone know where Åsa is playing next. I've read somewhere she'll be playing some challengers in the US. Is that true?
