Els lost 6-7 7-5 2-6
She was 1-4 down in the 2nd set but came back. It was without a doubt the best match of the day, both players played really well and it was unlucky for Els with the draw cause I have little doubt that if she had drawn someome else she would have won. She played well and served well and I think if she keeps it up things look good for her.

Is she playing Sydney or Hobart next week?
If she's playing Sydney she's definetely going to have to play qualies, but she at Hobart she's probably going to be accepted in the MW straight away.

Nope. Sydney is her first choice, Hobart her 2nd. because there she can already play doubles with Hantuchova

I suppose no (maybe he did tho) but in the interview they speak about him being pissed off by line calls and Kim said "yeah...footfault" so he began to explain about that

Els :awww:

Cigar?

euh never mind, this has nothing to do with Els. ;)
'Close but no cigar' is just an ordinary expression which means that you're after something, you almost get it, but in the end you fail.... or something like that.
There's also this song 'close, but no cigar' from Thomas Dolby. I like it very much and if you listen to it, I guess you'll probably recognize it.

If she plays, then :fiery: :fiery: :fiery:

I really doubt Kim will play Sydney. I think she will be in Sydney with Lleyton but not play. She is on crutches for the next 4 or so days. Dehous said if she can't play Sydney AO is most probably off to
I really doubt Kim will get to play AO   I mean if she is on crutches now and can't put weight on it, I seriously doubt how well she will be moving in a week. if she does play AO her movement will be really hindered and maybe go out early, I'd rather she didn't play than that happening. But the most important is that she heals well and has her health.
