I'm 99% sure Christina will grab a WC ;) while the other one should go to Adamczak though I wouldn't be surprised if it's finally given to any of Australia's best prospects like Ferguson or (hopefully!) Dubravka :)

MELBOURNE, Dec 30 AAP - Junior Wimbledon finalist Chris Guccione was one of four locals to be given wildcards today to next month's Australian Open.
The big-hitting teenager beat seasoned pros Stefano Pescosolido and Cecil Mamiit in US tournaments this year.

Guccione suffered a surprise first-round loss to countryman Andrew Derer in the Open training camp playoff at Melbourne Park earlier this month.

The automatic wildcard on offer there went to overall winner Todd Reid.
But Open organisers decided today that Guccione's promise was also deserving of a berth in the main draw at the Open, where he will make his grand slam debut.

As expected, Davis Cup hero Wayne Arthurs was also handed a wildcard today.

Evie Dominikovic was rewarded for her efforts in advancing to the third round at Melbourne Park in 2003 by getting a women's wildcard, along with Casey Dellacqua. (What hyprocrites TA are, just proves how discriminatory they were last year against Cindy Watson)

Open organisers are still to allocate two more men's and women's wildcards for the Open which starts on January 19.

AO 2004 Wildcards

Men

Todd Reid (Australian Open Training Camp Play-Off)
Alun Jones (Uncle Tobys Wildcard)
Nicolas Escude (French wildcard)
Vadim Kutsenko (UZB) - Asian Wildcard)

Women

Samantha Stosur (Australian Open Training Camp Play-Off)
Trudi Musgrave (Uncle Tobys Wildcard)
Tatiana Golovin (French wildcard)
Chuang Chia Jung of Chinese Taipei ( Asian Wildcard)

Udachi Chia-Jung :D This girl has talent.

I hope Monique and Kristen can grab WC's, although I doubt Kristen will.

I'd like to see Christina Wheeler and Monique Adamczak get the remaining 2 wildcards :)

Don't be surprised if Christina misses out...as she is already in qualies they may give it to someone else, to free up WC's for other players in both the MD and qualies...hope this doesn't happen, because aside from Christina and Monique, no-one else really deserves one.

wildcards dont HAVE to be given those who play for that country!

they gave a wildcard to golovin?? why? she's produced nothing!

majoli may be slumping, but as a former grandslam champion and top 5 player, she should be made priority over no- body's

out of respect if nothing else

Iva hasn't asked for the WC, so there's no chance she'll be given it. Iva won't be returning to play until February according to another post I read.... That said, I would still love to see her get it!!! But, honestly, it's not going to happen..
