Tzipi is about 150 now, and with the points coming off qualifying for Auckland... is there a possibility she wouldn't make the cut???
Seeing her crush Glitenshtein 1 and 1 friday (it was on channel 5, one of the most interesting things they had on since 5+ came...) makes me believe there's a chance of a breakthrough year, and it would be a shame if she can't make it to AO...
Remember, the only GS she ever played was AO 00, after having qualified...
read my lips (well...): Obzi will be ranked witin the top 100.
but the bad thing is, i'm not quite sure how am i suppose to cheer her when there's chance of retiring every single day... she is 31!!!

Answers please!!! Go Tzipi!

  don't worry, Tzipi is well safe in the qualy draw. But anyway, "crushing" that Gliteshtein doesn't mean that she's gonna have the year of her life :tape:

Yes Tomas, don't worry.
She will play in qualy, and not only that, I think she will also play a week before that with Anna.

Tzipi will retire soon, But I don't think it will be this year.
We are going to have one more year with Tzipi :D

Yes, I think and hope that she will play in Auckland qualifying next week.

this article said: quite a few top 150 players did not make the cut for the qualifying...
Anyway i think she will play, because eventually Gold Coast's last acceptance was Bacheva at 150, who was no. 20 at the "next in" list. and GC is considered better than Auckland, so...

I just read this summary of 2003 in Sport5 web site, and Obziler said: "the next 7-8 months will be crucial... if i'll stay around 110-120 then i will quit playing professinal tennis. I will continue to play if i'll crack the top 100".

what do you think of that?
