asking this cos

Tatiana Golovin hasnt feminised her surname into Golovina but 15 yr old Yulia Fedossova who also plays for France has, or she would have been Fedossov if the law meant having the same surname.

has it been changed recently ??

anyone know for sure ?

it's not a french name law but a rusian name law!! Yulia and Tatiana have russian's parents, but Tatiana came in france at 1 year and Yulia at 8 years, so Yulia take a russian name and Tania a french name! ;)

even if she came in at 1, it seems strange why one is allowed and other isnt. shouldnt matter about age.

glad Yulia's name is feminised, sounds so much better.

its not a Russian name thing cos Tatiana would have been Golovina had she stayed in Russia.
wonder if her mother is Golovin too :o ?

I don' t know if or mother is Golovin or Golovina, but I think that when she arrived in France, Tatiana had the name of his father ( Golovin ), all her french papers ( Identy cards etc ... ) are with the name " Golovin ", that' s why she kept that name. It' s really very hard to change our name in France.

I think that Yulia Fedossova, when she arrived in France had the name " Fedossova " and that' s why her name is " Fedossova " now.

I personally prefer Golovin than Golovina, what' s a strange russian law lol :) !!!!!

OK, but "Mauresmo" (and esp. "Razzano") sound Italian or something! :p And "Mary Pierce" like a prissy British name! :o

Mauresmo sounds french, Razzano sounds italian but Mary Pierce is half american...
