Vera in  at least she plays 1st but it would have been better if she was 2nd match with Nastya giving a 1-0 lead.

I *think* they can change the doubles team at the last minute if they want to, so if the doubles are a live rubber for Belgium, they might well put Callens/Clijsters or, if she's played well, Callens/Flipkens in instead.

they can change any player on Day 2 but it cannot be a repeat of Day 1 matches.

Day 2 has to be #1 vs #1 and #2 vs #2 but sometimes its not the case even in LIVE RUBBERS.

all depends on if the Top two played on the 1st Day.
We (Russia) can have Dementieva or Myskina vs Mauresmo on Thursday.
also Dementieva/Petrova/Zvonareva vs Pierce.

they can also make changes, but if Mauresmo doesnt play Rubber #3 she cant play Rubber #4.

had she not played day 1, then she can play either on day 2.
confusing it is but its legal and it happens quite a bit more on Davis Cup (sly Captains)

Sammm, I'm sure Sky will show the Belgium V USA doubles match even if it is a dead rubber, mainly because Navratilova will be playing.
However, being the last match on Thursday, they might not show the Russia V France doubles match, if the tie has already been won.
