I think Elena, once fully fit should be in a position to shoot up the rankings. Karen should continue to improve.
I really hope that 2004 is a breakthrough year for Jane. She really deserves it.
No.1 by the end of 2004? Probably still Anne! But good luck all the British girls! :)

I think that Anne will still be the British number 1 at the end of 2004, and can hopefully be inside the Top 100. ;)
Hopefully Jane can improve into the Top 150
Amanda really only has Eastbourne points on her rankings so can only hope to improve, hopefully to the Top part of the Top 300!!!
Next year 'should' be a very good year for Sarah, I'd expect her to be near, i not in, the Top 200 ;)
Karen shoudl also improve into the Top 300, and hopefully Chantal & Emily can go into the Top 350-ish area. providing Emily stays fit!!!
Elena, as said before, has being injured for most of the year, and has no points to defend at all after Wimbledon, so hopeully can get inot the sort of position she was in before/after Wimbledon this year!
The main thing the British players need is consistency, which at the moment I think all of them have a severe lack of :(
My predictions for the Top 10:
1. Anne - Top 100
2. Jane - 150 - 175
3. Elena - similar to jane (if healthy)
4. Sarah - 200 - 225
5. Amanda - similar to sarah
6. Karen - 280 - 310
7. Chantal - 350-ish
8. Emily - similar to Chantal
9. Rebecca D - 450 ish
10. Katie - similar to Rebecca D
Followed by - Melanie, Rebecca L, Holly & Katherine ;)
Without injuries, 2004 can be a better year for British tennis ;)
