Doubles-wise only, do you think that Kim Clijsters will have another season as successful as the last one in doubles ? Do you think that Kim and Ai are done for good or could they form a partnership in 2005 (If Ai is still playing) ? She showed she was a top doubles player, with whom do you think she could pair up ? I think Kim lost her best chance at a year-ending doubles championship yesterday.

Kim won't play doubles as much next year...and probably every year after that (unless she pulls a Martina N). It's too hard to do doubles and singles these days.

Still, Kim is a pretty good doubles player. Yes, she owes a lot to Ai this year, but let's not forget she won a decent title with Jelena Dokic last year. Kim has a consistent serve, a great return, a great lob, she can keep the ball low to opponents at the net, has a decent volley, and is a great athelete. You can't ask much more of a doubles partner :)

Ai mentioned that 2004 year Kim will focus on more singles (for GS titles!). but she didn't deny a possibilitiy of that Ai and Kim will play doubles together again. :)

Seeing Kim playing at Semi against Jen, she improved a lot at the net. So has Ai for the last couple years. She couldn't even volley 6-7 years ago..and now she's so quick at net. Doubles play helps players in singles for sure.

Hope Kim plays doubles with Ai again! :)
