There have been so many great matches which are practically gone unnoticed.
We tend to hype matches where two big names are involved as we see all the matches nominated in the WTA best match contest involved big names on both sides. But what about those which may not have had so famous but turned out to be real classic?
As educated tennis fans, why don't we have some time to discuss those great matches in the past that should have deserved more attentnion?

Serna vs Likhovtseva at Eastbourne 2001 was pretty amazing.

Yeah that was a great one!
She got her thigh wrapped due to the injury she got from her previous match against Anke.
She said after the match, she really didn't think about the outcome of the match. Just tried focusing on one point at the time and when she was down 5-0 in the first set, she started not feeling the pain anymore and before she realized it, she had turned it around to win the set 7-6.
Recenty there was this talk show about her where she was invited as a guest. She was asked a bunch about that match. She described it as the best match of her career. She was looking great and real happy.
