through all the 1st and 2nd round losses she did this year she is bound to have a rising 2004 year

If she cuts her schedule back, she'll do fine. She plays 30 plus events, she'll be inconsistent

She should only play around 15-18 tournies a year. If she played less she'd be more consistent!

Besides being a Williams sister fan, I am also a huge Jelena Dokic fan. Given her recent results in Zurich and playing a great match against Sugiyama in Linz, I predict that Dokic will have good results in 2004. She is too good not to have a good year. Making a grand slam final is pushing it a bit, but I think she will finish in the top 12, and win a couple of titles, as well as beating a few top ranked players during the year.

If she plays in Australia then I think she will have a wonderful year. I also agree that she needs to play less tournaments and concentrate on bigger events.

If she plays 32-33 events (adds Australian events to her current schedule) she will end up about #25 in the world.

If she cuts back to 24-26 events, she will finish in the #9-#16 range.

I predicted her to make the Aussie Open final, have a stellar season and finish in the top 8, OR she cannot play and have a season worse than 2003....

Year 2003 wasn’t funny at all despite last 2 weeks. I hope Borna will do wonders with her, but I wouldn’t jump up and down without rhyme or reason ;) based only on those tiny weeks. I will just wait what will happen next year. OK maybe somewhat little bit more relaxed.

With her old game she belongs to lower part of top 10, but if she will improve – you will never know.

I am sure she will be back to the top 10. She played very well the last part of the season and if she play the OZ she can gain lots of points.

Good luck Jelena!!! :wavey:

She'll do extremely well compared this year,I think. I'm almost sure that she'll play AO. She's reconsidering already about playing for AUS and right now, she's got no more reason not to play. The AO is also a perfect opportunity for her to gain lots of points.

Well, it shouldn't be any "worse" than her 2003...and hopefully with a reduced schedule, far "better" in 2004...!!!
