Maria won six points in a row in the tiebreak to lead 6-0, then Kirsten won seven poinrs in a row to lead 7-6, then Maria won three points in a row to clinch the match!!!

What a crazy tiebreak! :eek: If Maria had blown that 6-0 second set tiebreak lead she probably would have been so upset that she would have lost the third set and the match. But fortunately Maria won the match in straight sets.

And it's obvious Kirsten can play. :)

Kirsten is only ranked 656 (with 6 tournaments), i.e. 239 places behind Elke, who is ranked 406 with 20 tourn. Kirsten is a more promising player, she will certainly catch up soon.

The audience pushed Kirsten a lot and she played some great tennis in the 2nd set. In the mid of the 2nd set, she had some lil problems with her foot and called the trainer. Not sure in which way she was influenced by that.
