Thats what Justine's doing Toontje Oct 20th, 2003, 07:47 PM No.......Arantxa Sanchez-Vicario and Venus played three tournaments while they were #1. Kim played five tournaments while she was #1 Jennifer Capriati played six tournaments while she was #1 Pamela Shriver Oct 20th, 2003, 07:52 PM Dunno about not playing when #1 but I certainly was never #1 when I was playing... Toontje Oct 20th, 2003, 07:57 PM .......and Lindsay Davenport played 13 tournaments while she was #1. ally baker Oct 20th, 2003, 07:58 PM It probably happened when Steffi/Monica were switching #1 back and forth in '91. Also, Lindsay's #1 at the end of '01... I don't believe she played. alexusjonesfan Oct 20th, 2003, 08:02 PM Also, Lindsay's #1 at the end of '01... I don't believe she played. I think she played a lot of indoors while she was ranked no.1. Didn't she have a great streak until the YEC when she turned her ankle? (correct me if I'm wrong) ally baker Oct 20th, 2003, 08:03 PM She didn't get #1 until after YEC, though... or the week before, I can't remember. Every #1 has played as #1. I was referring to a specific time when Lindsay was #1. She didn't play in her last #1 reign. Thanks. Kart Oct 20th, 2003, 09:06 PM I think Lindsay got to no.1 by beating Kim in the semis in the YEC that year. She defaulted against Serena so I don't think she played at all as no.1 as she went straight into her operation. These facts are from memory so probably wrong ... They are not. ;) UDiTY Oct 21st, 2003, 03:27 AM Yeah, I think I agree with ally baker... She had a really good indoor season and finished the year #1 but I think she got it after making the final of the YEC where she had to withdrawal against Serena.
