No.......Arantxa Sanchez-Vicario and Venus played three tournaments while they were #1.

Kim played five tournaments while she was #1

Jennifer Capriati played six tournaments while she was #1

Dunno about not playing when #1 but I certainly was never #1 when I was playing...

.......and Lindsay Davenport played 13 tournaments while she was #1.

It probably happened when Steffi/Monica were switching #1 back and forth in '91.

Also, Lindsay's #1 at the end of '01... I don't believe she played.

that's what i thought, she got the #1 ranking because of that last win and then defaulted.
