Wow. :)

My old player, Adriana Vicario, never made it past #2 even with her French Open win.

Anyone willing to give me tips...whats better having more on surface and less on skill, or less on surface and more on skill?

well the new player i started this month i put almost all the points on serve backhand and forehand...and with that she is 20 and 12 this month...so i think you should do that first then work on surfaces..just my opinion :p

My player is 30... he did shit until this year, but really that's how I worked it out.

He has 100 on everything but clay, where he's around 60 points or so.

I have a new player, and she's 0-7

Sorry Phil, but I created Karol with the hope that he would win Wimbledon (started with 100 on grass)... and he finally did it... so no pity from me :p

Skills are more important than surfaces, but at the top, it seems surfaces are the deciding factor (because most are at 100 in skill)

Leena, I train my player religiously. For the past 12 months I've trained him every day but one, when I was in DC and didn't have access to a computer. I was very heartbroken.

tatra, on playasport.com they have information on how to play. it's really simple, you just train them and they do the work.

I guess setting up a good schedule means a lot, but that's really up to the person.

That makes me want to start a new player next month... and get her to the top :p

My first player Elena Bovina has already won 2 tournaments this year, but my other player Leonhart has lost 2 finals! He only managed to win 1 career title last year. boo.

Yeah, well at least you're gonna be in thier record books. :)

I trained my old player on two surfaces mostly: hard and clay. Since that's where a lot of tournaments are played including three of the grand slams. I only trained her for grass and carpet on her last year.
Nine titles including the French Open and making the US Open finals can't be wrong. :)

Hooray for the late bloomers. :D

My player did nothing until she was 27.
(And I defeated you at the Canadian Open final, not the French. )

Vicario, I was talking about my other player :p

But yes, you did beat me at the Canadian, but I plan to win that this year, along with the US Open

Gone to my head? I'm the most humble person to ever be the best!

Yeah that is pretty good. My player at 21 was 700-800 range.

congrats!

although i was the first wtaworld poster to win a gs :p i won the AO about 10 months ago (right after i made the finals of the us open). my player was a couple of points away from the top ranking and then i went to croatia so i didn't have the internet and couldn't train her and she sucked when i came back (my player was iva majoli). i might start playing again. my other former top player was mario ancic who made it to n.8 i think.
as far as points go, there is a trick to the game which i figured out by accident which you can use to have really good results on hardcourts (but you will suck on every other surface - but that doesn't matter since there are 18 weeks of hardcourts in the calendar), but seeing as i am about to create a new player, i might just leave you guys hanging...

I remember your player being at the top, that's when I started training daily :p
