I know I have it removed... u have to download a history cleaner, there are ones that are free.
i'll look for you and if I find it I'll give u a site.
that's how I got read of it, might be an easier way however.

The first idea... Spyware has to report the data to somewhere. Installing a firewall will help to identify all outbound network connections.

This is a nice free program (called Spybot Search and Destroy) that updates itself. It removes all kinds of installed sypware and tracking cookies etc and has a comprehensive library.

ys is right about the firewall thing, if you have a broadband connection, a firewall is a good idea anyway. One of the most popular (and free) firewalls is ZoneAlarm, it monitors and hides all your ports and informs you of all inbound/outbound connections (asking you whether to allow them to occur)

Hope that helps :wavey:

yeah it is, the basic version (just comes with the firewall) is still free, the Plus and Pro versions you have to pay for (or crack :o)

Spybot and Ad-Aware seem to be the two standards for removing spyware.

http://www.lavasoftusa.com/ is the link for Ad-Aware.

I use Ad-Aware and it seems to work pretty well.

You know honestly, if you have AOL, their software is the best for this ever. For all the people that trash AOL, they've come up with the best tools for removing spyware and keeping your computer virus-free.
