Israel is part of the Middle East.

If you had to include the Middle East in part of a continent I would have said Africa over Asia.

Looking at the map I'd say it wasn't 100% accurate. For instance they don't have Papua New Guinea being part of Asia!!

Technically, Pistolesi is Asian. Israel is a part of Asia by definition. Yes.

Israel is part of the Middle East. I dont know what definition of Asia some people are looking at, but Asia is everything from Afghanistan and eastwards. Thats what they teach in geography.
If the Middle East has to be classified in a continent it is included in Africa. Thats why we commonly say "Africa and Middle East" to describe the general region.
There is a broader definition of Asia which some use that includes the Middle East, but i think that approach is not as common.

And even if we do use the definition including the Middle East, it doesnt matter, as this is a tennis thread so we have to use the tennis definition, which includes Israel in the euro-africa group.
